Beautiful to me.
I learnt a really important lesson last weekend and that was, that not everyone in life is going to like you. A harsh truth but a realistic one. Sometimes people will mis-read who you are as a person, some will try to diminish your character but it's really important to remember that you cannot change who you are. Some of us are loud, some of us are quiet, some of us outgoing, some of us introverted. We all come in different shapes and sizes and from different backgrounds offering different experiences to those we meet in life. The most important thing, I believe is to be a good person. Blogging can come across as a vain endeavour and I myself am very aware of that, however in a world where women are so pressured by image and beauty I really believe in the power of a compliment. Give them, and accept them, I see far too many women who cannot take compliments because they simply don't feel they are worthy. Well you are worthy, each of us find beauty in different things and the more we support each other and share the positives the better this world will be. Bring forth the selfies, be happy with who you are and that will reflect on others. I have so much respect for all my readers because I know that as a collective we are people that want to see a change in how beauty is perceived. I thank you all for continuing to read my blog, for commenting and sharing, for discussing issues that you are passionate about, for listening to my melt downs and my dramas and not passing judgement and for genuinely being good people. Below I have shared pictures that are beautiful to me, and as over the top and self-indulgent as they may be, they make me feel good and special and that surely cannot be a bad thing. For years of hating myself and my body, I’m finally glad that I have found a place of happiness and serenity. I would love for you to share with me over on Instagram or on Twitter something that makes you feel really beautiful. I want to see what makes you smile, be it clothing, a selfie or a photo of someone else and use the the hashtag #BeautifulToMe. Lets continue to spread positivity and remember what Gabi Fresh says. Every BODY is Flawless.
