Marie Claire's New Plus Size Columnist
It feels like I have been waiting for this day for forever and never have I been more excited to tell you my news. Last summer Marie Claire announced a competition to become their new plus size columnist, I toyed back and forth whether to apply and finally in the last possible week I decided to do it. Sat in front on my computer I poured my heart into my piece, a piece that I would eventually submit. A few months later, working through my emails, one popped in with the news that I had won. Beside myself with excitement and joy, a rush of emotion ran through me and right there in my office at work I sobbed. The tears were not only for me but for all the plus women that have yet to be represented in a magazine. This journey as a blogger has been so wonderful but I am so excited to get the chance to show my skills as a writer and be the first ever plus size columnist in the UK.
